Is there a method of adding ringtones (from PC) without going thru the email process? I have tried using my card reader, like I do when adding mp3's, but no luck. If/when bitpim supports the reality, there must be a location in the filesystem where they get saved, right?

I'm not sure that they ever will  support the phone because they haven't come out with a new version in a long time.  If they did, I'm sure we'd be able to use the program to add ringtones but for now we're resigned to the multimedia email to phone method.  Remember you can use BitPim to create your ringtones.  Just copy and paste the ringtone you create to another folder and then email it to the phone.

Just got my Reality today and was able to use standard mp3s as ringtones without emailing. Here's what I did:

Connected to the phone via a Bluetooth file manager (I used the handy built-in
Bluetooth File Exchange application on my Mac)

Copied the mp3 to the Sounds folder in the phone's built-in memory

Opened Media Center, Music & Tones on the phone

Opened My Sounds on the phone

Selected the file I wanted to use as a ringtone

     Hit "Set As"

     Hit "Contact ID"

Selected the contact that I wanted to assign the mp3 to

It's worked for several contacts the first time I tried it and I could just trim the tracks in my favorite audio app without losing quality. I haven't found a way to use files on the external card so it limits you to the onboard memory of the phone. YMMV, good luck.

Just got my Reality today and I have not been able to get anywhere with my ringtones.  These are all mp3 files of no more than 390kb, or 24 seconds.  I connected using USB and - to be safe - made copies in my_music, my_sounds & my_ringtones folders.  disconnecting the USB, I found the songs in "My Music", but when playing them could find no option for setting the songs as ringtones; they did not appear on the phone when checking my sounds or my ringtones.
