ok so for those with itunes ill try and show an easy way to create ringtones for the reality.

If you select the track that you want to make a ringtone out of and right click then go to "get info"

once in that menu go to options and it will show were you can select start and stop times.

select the times you need for the start and end of the ringtone and check the boxes next to it.

after that go back to the main itunes library menu and right click the track again and select "make new 'you set audio format' version" (if it doesn't say mp3 then you can go into preferences and change the import settings to import as mp3 and it will make them mp3)  as it converts the song it will make a new version that is cut down to size. and you can then go back into "get info" on the original and uncheck the settings to cut the time.

then just find the file in your itunes library and email to your phone via "yournumber@vzwpix.com"

I followed these instructions, but I don't understand how to email them to my phone.   does the "yournumber@vzwpix" actually go in the "To" field in your email?  And then do you send the ringtone you created as an attachment?  When I tried to send it as an attachment, I went into My COmputer, found iTunes Music and only the regular version of the song showed up, not the ringtone I created.  How does it know to send it to my phone?   I haven't entered a phone number anywhere in my email.

You ARE on the right track... Success is near Smiley

"does the "yournumber@vzwpix" actually go in the "To" field in your email?

Example with a phone number I made up  TO:  3159991234@vzwpix.com goes in the "To" field in your email?

YES... Perfect...

" How does it know to send it to my phone?   I haven't entered a phone number anywhere in my email."
You have your phone number in the  TO: field already....

"When I tried to send it as an attachment, I went into My Computer" <---- YES again.....

You have to figure out were you saved the Ringtone to on your computer, Once you have it located, you attach it to your email just like you tried.........

OK, I've completed all these steps, just to be told by my phone that the message size is to big.  I condensed the song into 15 seconds.  Please help:(

Is there something I have to turn on or start on my phone to be able to use the my number address to send emails to my phone, every time I send one trying to use that hotmail tells me it can't be delivered, I tried with and without my area code and can't get it sent thru.

Thank you so much for sharing the info.  Before this, I've only found ways to do this by downloading software first.  But I'm glad to learn it can be done directly with itunes.   Smiley
