just found out that VZW is offering a promotion whereby use of the VZ Navigator app is included in the $10/month 75 MB usage.  There will be no cost to download the app, and no additional cost to use it (so long as you stay under the 75 MB allowance).

simply call the customer support center (ask for the billing dept) at 1.800.922.0204

Is the deal valid on people grandfathered into the older data plans? I myself have the 150MB plan and was wondering if it was still valid for that plan and also is calling CS the only way to obtain the deal? Thanks.

not sure how you got that 150MB plan, but I had to call CS to get them to add VZ navigator for me.  however, they also included ringback tones.  to manage them, you need to log into your account online and change the tone to the default ring.

The 150MB plan was offered before verizon made their switch to their new data plans. They offered it for $15 a month which was a no brainer since the 25MB was for $10. Anyway, I guess I'll have to get a hold of CS sometime and see if I'm eligible for this deal. Thanks for the info.

I would like to update this topic with official word from a Verizon cs rep. It seems as of right now the plan is only offered to people who have the new 75MB plan only. They have no plans to offer the deal to anyone grandfathered into any other plan.

Sadly the only choice if you really want to take advantage of this deal and are like me and grandfathered in is to downgrade or upgrade to the new 75MB plan.  I myself already have a a stand alone GPS so really don't see it being worth downgrading from my 150MB data plan but I would have happily taken it for free.

make sense for you, unless you never come close to that 150 MB each month.  online, you can see your usage over the past 3 months.

wondering if you could upgrade to a smartphone and keep that same data plan....
