I have the new Reality u370 from Costco. So far the phone is great except that when receiving a picture message and trying to save it to the micro-SD card, the phone freezes and can be reset only by removing the battery. If I go into Settings and tools, memory, save options and specify that everything saves to the phone,  then I can save pictures without the phone freezing. Is this a known problem? Any fix? I have checked for a software update and the phone says it has the latest software...

Thanks.

there has been some known issues of the memory card affecting the phone regarding pictures (especially those pics that are set as wallpaper).

could be the card is causing some problems.

but what I do is save everything to the phone first, and then transfer to the card later.  this is not a major concern for me though, as I rarely save pics received.

I have a theory about your problem.

My u370 has a problem identical to a problem reported for the Samsung Reality u820 -- while listening to music on the u370 with wired headphones or a wired headset, the phone sometimes freezes and then restarts.

But sometimes instead the phone freezes and then after awhile unfreezes without restarting. When this happens, the phone won't read the memory card regardless of whether I then try to listen to a song, view a picture, or use the file viewer application when the song, picture, or file is stored on the memory card. Once I restart the phone, the phone then reads the memory card just fine.

What is the brand and capacity of your memory card ? Have you had an opportunity to try a different brand and capacity ?
